Terremoto M6.1 (ML 6.8) Isla Norte, Nueva Zelanda 30.Oct.2018

Un terremoto M6.1 ocurrió tempranamente esta mañana en la Isla Norte de Nueva Zelanda a una profundidad de 225km. Magnitudes locales de hasta 6.8 fueron registrados por algunas redes sísmicas. Actividad sísmica más grande es esperada en este tiempo debido a una geometría planetaria crítica se se dió ayer. Varios terremotos de magnitud 6 han ya golpeado, repuntando en el de M6.3 del Paso Drake, al Sur de Chile. En este video hay una cobertura detallada que incluye la dorsal Pacífico-Antártico, que se mencionó a principio del mes. Se ha incrementado la posibilidad de un sismo mayor en Chile y Nueva Zelanda.

" A M 6.1 occurred early this morning on North Island New Zealand at a depth of 225 km. Local magnitudes up to 6.8 were recorded by some seismic networks. Larger seismic activity is expected at this time due to critical planetary geometry that started yesterday. Several 6 magnitude earthquakes have already struck, thus far peaking M 6.3 at the Drake Passage, South of Chile. In this video a detailed coverage is included of the Pacific-Antarctic ridge, which was already mentioned earlier this month, raising the possibility of larger earthquakes in Chile and New Zealand."
